Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of LegitDress, an online service that provides authenticity assessments of clothing, streetwear, and related items based on photographs. By creating an account, placing an order, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Definitions
“Service” means the LegitDress website, applications, and authentication services. “We”, “us”, and “our” refer to the operator of LegitDress. “You” and “User” refer to any person who accesses or uses the Service. “Verdict” means the authenticity opinion issued for a submitted item. “Certificate” means the digital authenticity certificate generated for an item that receives an authentic Verdict.
2. The Service
LegitDress provides expert- and technology-assisted authentication of items based on photographs you submit. Authenticators, supported by automated analysis, review each submission and issue a Verdict of authentic or replica, or a request for additional photographs. A Verdict is a professional opinion based on the materials provided; it is not a legal guarantee, appraisal, valuation, or certification of legal title, and it does not transfer any rights in the item.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement in order to use the Service. By using the Service you confirm that you meet these requirements and that your use complies with all laws applicable to you.
4. Accounts and Security
Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate, current information, to keep your credentials confidential, and to be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us promptly of any unauthorised use. We may suspend or close accounts that contain false information or that are used in breach of these Terms.
5. Submissions and Photo Requirements
To obtain a Verdict you must upload clear, genuine photographs of the actual item in your possession, following the guidance provided in the photo guide. If the submitted photographs are insufficient to reach a conclusion, an authenticator may request additional images at no extra cost. Submitting photographs that are not your own, that depict a different item, or that are altered or misleading is prohibited and may result in refusal of service.
6. Orders, Pricing and Payment
Each order is priced according to the service tier you select, and the price is shown before you confirm. Orders are paid from your account balance. The balance is funded with USDT on the TRON network (TRC-20), where 1 USDT is credited as 1 USD. Payment is complete when the corresponding amount is deducted from your balance. Blockchain network fees are your responsibility.
7. Turnaround Times
Estimated turnaround times depend on the selected tier and begin once payment is taken and sufficient photographs have been provided. Turnaround times are targets; they may vary where additional materials are required or in circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
8. Verdicts and Certificates
A Verdict reflects our considered professional opinion based on the information available at the time of review. Where an item is assessed as authentic, a digital Certificate with a unique reference number is issued and can be verified publicly by that number. A Certificate relates only to the specific item and photographs reviewed and may be revoked if it is found to have been obtained through false or misleading information.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by submitting unlawful content, infringing the rights of others, attempting to gain unauthorised access, interfering with the operation or security of the Service, using the Service to facilitate the sale of counterfeit goods, or reselling or misrepresenting our Verdicts or Certificates.
10. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, text, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. You retain ownership of the photographs you submit and grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to use them for the purpose of providing the Service, maintaining records of assessments, and improving our authentication methods.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any Verdict will be accepted by a third party.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any decision you make in reliance on a Verdict. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to a given order is limited to the amount you paid for that specific order.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, or expense arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
14. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service, with or without notice, where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached or where necessary to protect the Service, its users, or to comply with law. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
15. Changes to the Service and Terms
We may modify the Service and update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, and your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The parties will first seek to resolve any dispute amicably; if that is not possible, the dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of the Republic of Cyprus, unless mandatory law grants you a different forum.
